Hello and welcome!
Who am I?
My name is Keith Wrassmann. I am a Christian, a husband, a follower, a leader, a student, a teacher, and a writer. I think that just about covers it all.
Purpose and Mission of This Blog
The purpose and mission of this blog is to help others grow spiritually in their walk with God—specifically in the knowledge and life practice of Christianity. This means we’ll be talking about things ranging from the elementary principles of spiritual life all the way to the hard to grasp about God, in an understandable way. My goal is to help you build up your spiritual foundation, and build on your spiritual foundation. It’s all about discipleship and theology for everyday growth. If you see any of yourself in the above picture, you have come to the right blog.
Main Writing Themes
The main themes I write on are discipleship and theology, which I also break down into the finer concepts of the teaching of conversion and what I call the discipleship deficiency. These themes serve the goal of spurring spiritual growth through learning about God with the intent of it flowing into practical, everyday living.
What does the blog’s name ChristianAWAKE mean?
It means whatever it means to you on a certain spectrum. Maybe you are a Christian who longs to awaken to a deeper, more meaningful walk with God, or, maybe you are a Christian who is wide awake and always searching for knowledge and life practice to grow ever closer in your walk with God. Or maybe you are seeking God for the first time. Whoever you are, I am glad you are here.
But isn’t “Theology” really just a big, intimidating word used to describe a bunch of other big, intimidating words that 99% of the population could care less to understand?
One of the central purposes of this blog is to discuss the things of God so it can strengthen or build upon your spiritual foundation and ultimately flow into practical, everyday living. I hate reading books about God where I need a dictionary next to me. Because of this, I have set up the Theology-Speak Decoded page. Here you will find some of the big “theology” terms explained in a way that is easy to understand. You shouldn’t need a PhD from Harvard to talk about and understand God. This blog will help you do that.
